“Making Waves is a staple for our kids in Buffalo! We routinely participate in the day off camps and let me tell you, my son loves it! The themes are always so cute and creative. He leaves each and every time with a big smile, so proud of what he’s made. Katie and Amanda are amazing and patient with him and the other children. It’s always a small and intimate group so your child is sure to receive lots of feedback and attention from Katie and Amanda, almost feeling like a one on one session. When our cousins visit from out of town, they make it “cousin bonding time” to go to the arts studio for a drop off session. I would highly recommend Making Waves, especially their day off camps! Worth every penny and more!”

“I love participating in the adult workshops at Making Waves! I have done everything from floral arrangements and marker drawings to collage, from watercolors to ice dyeing. All things I had never tried before and had zero skills in. Katie and the artists she partners with create such an inviting environment for artists of all skill levels. They meet you where you are at and guide you through the process–most of the time I leave with an amazing piece of original artwork I would have never believed I could have made myself! As an added bonus, I got to spend the evening chatting with and meeting other people from the community. Bring a friend, bring your partner, or just come alone to relax, chat, and get creative!”

“Our family loves Making Waves! It’s a Buffalo gem. We had my daughter’s 5th birthday party there, and she was delighted from the moment she stepped into the bright happy space. The kids got to decorate a big colorful banner with her name on it before moving on to their special project and birthday treats. They were engaged from the start, and Alice was grinning the whole time. The staff is incredibly warm and professional; you can tell they love kids and love what they do. Katie thoroughly answered all of our questions before the party day, and Amanda did an amazing job leading the party.
My daughter always has a blast at Making Waves’ day off camps. She has been to several and always comes home excited to show me the cute projects she made and to tell me about her day. Sometimes she can be hesitant to get dropped off at places that are outside of her everyday routine, but she is always happy to go to Making Waves. The staff are amazing with kids and create a warm, inviting, creative, and fun atmosphere.”
